1 - Why is Manchester United your favorite team?
When I was 8 or 9 years old my parents bought me a chocolate Easter egg in a mug (this could be an Irish thing) with a football crest on it. Thank god it was the Red Devil and the crest of Manchester United. I don’t have a favorite team…. there has only been one football team I have ever and will ever support and that is Manchester United.

Since winning their 1st senior trophy which was the league in the 1907-8 season they have become one of the most successful teams in English, European and world football, while having had some of the worlds greatest football players to ever grace a football pitch play for them such as Duncan Edwards, George Best, Bobby Charlton, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs to name a few. They also have one of the biggest fan bases of any team in any sport anywhere in the world.

A team that has been built on creating history, (1st English club to enter the European cup in 1958 and the 1st English club to win the European cup in 1968) and setting records (most FA cup wins with 11 and tied with the most league titles at 18). And who can forget the “Treble season of 1999”. The only club to ever win the FA cup, Premier League and European cup in the same season. You don’t do all that without playing some of the most exciting and exhilarating football you will ever see in one of the largest and most spectacular stadiums in the world where the electrifying atmosphere of the 75,957 capacity crowd will leave you breathless. The closest you will ever get to heaven on this earth is to touch the hollowed walls of Old Trafford, home of the worlds finest football club that is Manchester United.

2 - How long have you been a fan?
I have been a fan for 33 years.

3 - Favorite team/year & player
My favorite team would have to be the Treble winning team of 1999.

My favorite player by far is, The Belfast Boy, “El” Beatle…the legend that is George Best.

4 - Number of United jerseys in your closet
Number of jerseys in my closet is 10, but only 2 fit me as I still have all my jerseys from when I was younger.


5 - Favorite United item in collection
Favorite United item in my collection is definitely my George Best testimonial programme, ticket stub and photo all personally signed by him.
